2008 MUD RUN BASIC SAFETY:
1. All drivers must have a valid drivers license and
will obey all rules as required by this organization
or that driver will be disqualified.
2. Only track officials will be allowed on the track.
3. All trucks should be in the staging area when the
class starts and be ready to go when called.
4. Any driver showing off before, during or after the
race will be disqualified. You will get your turn to
play when you are called to the line. For safety
reasons, please do not horse around!
5. All trucks are subject to an open hood inspection
at any time by track officials.
6. All trucks must have brakes and reverse.
7. All trucks must have visible hook-ups. No chains!
Must have solid hook-up point (not responsible for
bumpers).
8. All trucks will have fire extinguishers and seat
belts or a harness. (If required by your class.)
9. Any driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol
will be disqualified.
10. Do not interrupt the announcer for any reason. If
you have a problem or complaint, either go to a
track official or wait until halftime.
11. Any questions or complaints will be discussed
with a track official and his/her decision will have
final say on any and every call.
12. NO ALUMINUM BLOCKS!
13. No restarts
14. All drivers must be 16 years of age for D.O.T.
and Hot Street classes and must have a legal
parent or guardian sign a waiver before he/she can
race. All other classes must be 18 years of age.
15. Payoffs will be given after the races have been
concluded unless tower has it ready earlier. No
exceptions!
16. All trucks are subject to 3 minutes down time
only if they notify a track official. If your truck is
broken, notify a track official immediately to
prevent much down time.
17. If you are asked to stop by a track official, you
must do so or be disqualified.
18. No animals allowed except for handicapped
persons.
19. A D.O.T. Helmet is required in all classes. Must
wear seatbelt or restraint harness if class requires.
20. Drivers are responsible for all crewmembers
including children.
21. No alcohol fuel burning allowed.
22. All open top vehicles must have a full 6 points
roll cage welded or bolted to the frame, except for
street classes.
23. Modified trucks must have drive shaft loops on
both ends of shaft.
24. All vehicles will have a firewall between the
driver and the engine.
25. Batteries must be completely enclosed in a plastic
case with only two exceptions:
a. Batteries in factory locations
b. bolted down with an approved holder in
back of truck.
26. Fuel tank not in factory location must be secured
by at least two straps, boat fuel tanks acceptable.
No rubber straps.
27. If the driver goes out of bounds, the run will be
scratched. Track officials call.
28. Only tower officials in tower during race!
29. There will be a wash down area. All Vehicles
should be washed off before leaving unless
trailered.
30. In the event of a tie, there will be a tiebreaker.
31. No ATV's allowed on the grounds except Mud
