BASIC RULES OF PAINTBALL
- A player is counted “out” if a paint ball hits him and it breaks on his clothing, gun or equipment. It doesn’t matter if opposing team or friendly fire hits the player. Once hit by a paintball the player must be immediately hold gun above head and leave the playing field by direct route.
- A player is not counted “out” if struck by a paint ball that does not break.
- If two or more players mark each other simultaneously, all are counted “out”.
- If there is a question as to whether a player has been marked, call for a “paint check” by the referee. When a “paint check” is called, the game comes to a stop, all players remain where they are until the referee clears the problem and restarts the game. The referee may call “out” any player changing position during a “paint check”.
- The games will be played with a predetermined time limit. The length of the play will be determined on game day by officials.
- Only paintballs purchased on site from vendor will be permitted – the vendor between games may also recharge tanks.
- There will be no discharging of paintballs in any area other than he designated playing field.
- A chronograph will be on site and all guns will be set at no more than 300fps – altering speed once set will result in elimination from the games.
- Chronograph test – one clearing shot followed by one shot over chronograph
- No short sleeved shirts or short pants will be allowed, facemasks must be worn while in the playing field.
- All decisions by the referees are final.
- Each player must sign a liability waiver and registration form before participating in the games. All of the risks entailed while playing are borne entirely by the player.
- Teams may be made up of three or more players as long as the opposing teams have the same number of players.
- Games will be paid single elimination – prize money will be paid out thirty-twenty-ten percent – with forty going to Livermore Quasquicentennial organization.
- Five dollars per player will be the entry fee per game.
- No crybabies, poor sportsmanship or bad attitudes are permitted.
- Rules subject to change at the discretion of the referees prior to game start.
- No discharging of paintballs at a player from less than fifteen feet distance.
