George Arnold Uniques Bio

In the fall of 1963, I joined the Uniques as the keyboard player and vocalist. I had previously been playing guitar and singing with my two younger brothers Tom and Dave as the Arnold Brothers.

I played until 1965 when I moved to California. I returned in 1967 to play with another grouping of the Uniques consisting of Dave Arnold on drums, Tom Arnold on keyboards, Tom Hanisch on bass and Dave Lady on lead guitar. I played guitar. As far as I know, after 1967, the band no longer played. I performed with my brother Tom as a duo.

I joined a group called the Kaylin Bros. as the bass guitarist for a year and moved to Sioux Falls, SD. in 1972. I worked with several groups for the next ten years including the Ransom Bros., the Upson Downs, Stan Gunn Show, North Spring, and a group called George, as well as playing the Lakes area with Bob York in a group called Two out of Three. I spent a couple of years doing a single act based out of Sioux Falls.

In 1983, I moved to Nashville, Tn. to pursue the music further. Several songs have been placed with a publisher. I've cut one record with the Uniques, a record with the Arnold Bros., a single with the Kaylin Bros., and a single and album with the Upson Downs.

I've continued to play and sing for family and friends, as well as enjoy the memories of playing with great bands and musicians over the years.
